LED Color Behavior Remap

I was reading through the Sysex Commands for the brain v2 and came across an LED Color Map section. It looks like I should be able to change how my FSRs, that are mapped to some RGB LEDs, affect the RGB LED colors depending on their outputted note velocity from the default mapping. Is this true and if so what would I send from the brain configure to remap the RGB LEDs to behave where at 0 velocity they are Blue instead of OFF and then any subsequent value they turn Cyan?

The color values that are triggered by note velocity and cc value can be changed. The COLOR CODES are:

  • 0 -> No Color (LED Off)
  • 0x01 (100) -> Red
  • 0x02 (010) -> Green
  • 0x03 (110) -> Yellow (Red+Green)
  • 0x04 (001) -> Blue
  • 0x05 (101) -> Magenta (Red+Green)
  • 0x06 (011) -> Cyan (Blue+Green)
  • 0x07 (111) -> White (Red+Blue+Green)

Looked at another way, the color value in any of the 7 slots will match up with the following velocities:

01-34-78-1516-3132-6364-126127

currently, the default is 0 7 6 5 1 4 3 2:

  • 000-000: OFF
  • 001-003: White
  • 004-007: Cyan
  • 008-015: Magenta
  • 016-031: Red
  • 032-063: Blue
  • 064-126: Yellow
  • 127-127: Green

  • I'm on Mac OSX does it need to be sent as hexadecimal or decimal?

  • I have tried using MIDI-OX on windows and sent this Sysex (F0 00 01 61 08 22 04 06 06 06 06 06 07 07 07 F7) which if I understand correctly should be; No velocity blue (always on blue), velocity 1-63 Cyan, and 64-127 white. But it doesnt seem to do anything. Any help would be appreciated.
