Brain Jr/v2 : latency/jitter performance on USB bus ?

edited July 2014 in Hardware

Generally DIN5 MIDI interfaces have a theoretical latency of 1ms. In practice, the latency can also be very high (> 10ms) and jitter can also be very high (> 10ms). By taking advantage of the Brain USB bus in theory you could achieve very good results in latency and jitter. I would like to have an estimate of these values.
Thanks

  • Hi Moon,
This is the theory that I know myself. If the card Brain exploits this USB potential then it is really very very good!
Another way to measure performance is to send a MIDI message to the MIDI Brain and wait for a MIDI response and measure the delay time.
You've got to do these checks?
    Thanks
