Resistance of knobs are different - how to make them equal?

edited April 2013 in Hardware

Hi everyone,

My Code V2 has multiple knobs that turn with very little resistance (i.e. they turn very easy, also when you push them), whereas all others have some more resistance - which I very much prefer.

That the knobs have a different feel from each other when turning them is quiet annoying, since it breaks the intuitive working that you want to develop with the controller.

Do other people here have had the same issue? And how did they deal with it? Did anyone came up with a creative trick that makes it possible to tweak the resistance of the knobs and make them more homogeneous?

Many thanks in advance for the feedback/help!

  • Try some DeOxit, these encoders are packed with grease and will eventually all be the same with some use.
